I am a survivor of spousal sexual and pornography addiction, insidious emotional abuse, as well as betrayal trauma. I recently ended my twenty-nine-year marriage to a covert narcissist. I volunteer as a trained betrayal trauma mentor, supporting women after their own unfathomable “D-Day” discovery. I have found through my recovery journey that there are masses who suffer in isolation. Sexual betrayal is an intensely personal subject, steeped in shame. Many frightened and heartbroken partners are hiding their truth, embracing the fear that they are the only one who has encountered this problem, and believing that no one would ever understand. This is not true. The numbers of people in the same situation are staggering. This is the plague of our time. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! This site was created to nurture a respectful place where sufferers of betrayal trauma and emotional abuse can land and share thoughts, fear, and hopes. I am a Christian woman, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but this site is for anyone who has been abused or hurt by someone they trusted. All are welcome.
